Since 2009, Alabama's home attendance has increased by 25%, putting the Crimson Tide in the top 5 in the country in attendance gains over that span. In 2011-12, Alabama had its greatest average home attendance ever (12,484), besting the record set only one year prior in 2010-11. In, 2010-11 the average home crowd for an SEC game at Coleman was 14,265 (93% capacity), an all-time high. This included five sellouts.

Coleman Coliseum was opened in 1968 and has since been the home of the Alabama Crimson Tide Men's Basketball Team. The Coliseum seats 15,383 screaming fans for home basketball games. In October 2009 Coleman Coliseum had some major upgrades. As of 2008, a new center hung scoreboard has reigned over the court. The scoreboard has four large LCD monitors and two spiral information tickers. On the east and west side of the Coliseum two more LCD monitors have been installed along with new scoreboards.

Also, new seating arrangements have been made to increase the crowd's involvement during games. The student section has been expanded to engulf both ends of the court giving the Tide a distinct home court advantage. More seats have been added to the floor behind the home and away bench to increase the hostile environment.
