Alabama Men's Basketball practice court

The new Men's Basketball Practice Facility was completed in summer 2011 at a cost of roughly $2,000,000. Covering over 20,000 square feet, it is one of the premier men's basketball training facilities in all of college basketball. Unlike many facilities at other schools, it is under the same roof as Coleman Coliseum and is literally only steps away from the Men's Basketball Locker Room.

The practice floor is an exact replica of the main floor of Coleman Coliseum. The floor is wide enough two accommodate two horizontal full-length courts as well. In total, the facility contain six baskets, two full courts, two flat screen TV's, and three mounted cameras used to film practices and workouts.

Adjacent to the practice court is the brand new Weight Room, separated by only a long wall of glass. At over 2,000 square feet, the weight room is a one-stop shop for speed, strength, and agility training. It is outfitted with brand new equipment, including free weights, machines, ropes, treadmills, bikes, medicine balls, boxes, and more. One end of the room contains a kitchen area stocked with shakes, smoothies, and snacks to help our players stay properly fueled. The weight room is also outfitted with three flat screen TV's, custom graphics, and an office for our Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Directly above the weight room is a large balcony that serves as the viewing area for practice. This carpeted area can comfortably hold over 100 people and is connected via enclosed bridge to the Club Level section of the Coliseum as well as the coaches' offices. The viewing area is home to custom graphics recognizing Alabama's SEC regular season and tournament championships as well as the dozens of Alabama alums who have gone on to play in the NBA.
